providing them with home furnishings and essentials that promote stability and
independence. We believe that every young person deserves a safe and supportive environment as they transition into adulthood. We aim to create beautiful and comfortable homes that inspire a sense of dignity and belonging for those who need it most.

Our vision is a community where every young adult aging out of foster
care has access to safe and stable housing equipped with the essential furnishings they need to thrive. We envision a future where the cycle of homelessness is broken, and every individual has the opportunity to build a fulfilling life. Central to our mission is the belief that those we serve will one day give back to the community that supported them, volunteering their time and talents to uplift others in similar circumstances.
By fostering resilience, promoting self-sufficiency, and encouraging a spirit of giving, we aim to create a society where all young people are empowered to reach their full potential, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive community for generations to come.

We collect and coordinate both purchased and donated items, ensuring that
each recipient receives the furnishings they need to fully function in their living space. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to gather a variety of essentials, including furniture, home décor, and household necessities.

Once we have collected the items, our team of volunteers deliver and set up the furnishings in the homes of those we serve. We believe that a well-decorated space can uplift spirits and foster a sense of belonging. Our volunteers not only deliver the items but also assist in arranging and decorating the space according to the recipient's preferences, creating an inviting and functional environment.

Thank you for thinking of A Welcome Home for your generous furniture & home goods donations. We deeply appreciate your generosity, time, and commitment.
Please provide photos of all items and measurements for any large furniture so we can determine what we’re able to accept based on size and condition.
Once your donation request is submitted below, you will receive a response within 24–48 hours identifying which items we can take and coordinating pickup.

Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities & roles available:
1. Setup Volunteer: (One time - Approximately 3-4 hours) Help us bring comfort to a recipient by assisting with the setup and delivery of furniture. Volunteers in this role will work alongside our team to transport items, arrange furnishings in recipients’ home, and decorate to create an inviting, comfortable, and functional space.
2. Inventory Coordinator Role: Support our operations by helping to manage our inventory.This includes organizing donated items, tracking incoming and outgoing furnishings, and ensuring that we have the necessary essentials to meet the needs of our recipients.
3. Public Relations Management Role: Use your creativity and communication skills to help us raise awareness about our mission! Volunteers can assist with managing our social media accounts, reaching out to local businesses, sharing success stories, and promoting our events to reach a wider audience.
